KEADAAN KONTRUKSI BANGUNAN DAN PEMERIKSAAN BAKTERI E-colie PADA PERLINDUNGAN MATA AIR DI DESA KUTARAYAT KECAMATAN NAMAN TERAN KABUPATEN KARO TAHUN 2017

Abstract

ABSTRACT Through the prelimenary observation of the Protection building of Water Springs in Kutarayat Village it was found that no lid was used to cover the spring so the leaves and volcanic ash contaminated the water. The absence of drain pipes, cracked floors, and protection of the water source, located in the upper part of the village, have made possible for the community to fish and the children to play on it. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition of protective building and examine bacteria Escherichia coli in Water Springs at Kutarayat Village. This research was a descriptive study. The object of this research was the Protection of the Water Springs used as a source of drinking water and for the daily needs of the people of Kutarayat Village, Naman Teran Sub-district, Karo District. The data collected were processed manually and were presented in the form of tables and writings. Based on the result of the research, it was found that the construction of Water Springs Protection in Kutarayat Village Naman Teran Sub-district did not meet the qualification. Bacteriological Quality of the water springs Protection did not meet the health qualification. The total of feces coliform and coliform did not meet the health qualification. Therefore, it is suggested that all communities of Kutarayat Village make improvements to the Water Spring Protection, the community assisted by the government to build the Water Spring’s protection Facility that meets the health qualification.
