Abstract

ABSTRACT Cardiac arrest is a sudden and sudden loss of heart function, which can occur in someone who is diagnosed with heart disease or not. Basic life support (BHD) is an early action that is performed on someone with an emergency situation, if not done basic life assistance immediately can cause biological death. This study aims to describe the knowledge of the Search and Rescue Team about the Basic Life Assistance Algorithm Based on AHA 2015 on Victims of Heart Stop in Medan BASARNAS in 2019. The research method used descriptive research methods, population of 40 search and rescue team members in the office Medan BASARNAS. A sample of 40 members of the Search And Rescue Team (SAR) with a total sampling technique. Data collection is done by questionnaire. The results of the study 57.5% were well-informed. 32.5% had enough knowledge and 10% had insufficient knowledge. Suggestions for research land to conduct competency audits on SAR team members and provide opportunities for training and update information on basic life assistance.
