GAMBARAN PERILAKU IBU NIFAS DALAM PERAWATAN BAYI BARU LAHIR DI WILAYAH KERJA KLINIK BERSALIN PRATAMA CITRA MARINDAL KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG TAHUN 2019

Abstract

Abstract Newborn care is an act of caring for and maintaining the health of newborns in the areas of preventive and curative. Caring for newborns is an easy activity that is difficult to do. Not only because it require patience but knowledge about right care must be possessed. Even though it looks as though it doesn't look like it, if it isn't noticed it can endanger baby. Therefore, knowledge and behavior about newborn care for mothers is very important (Tabloid Nakita in Rusli, 2017: 387). The purpose of this study was to determine how the description of postpartum maternal behavior in the care of newborns in Citra Marindal Maternal Clinic Working Area of Deli Serdang District. This type of research is descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The analysis used was univariate analysis to see the description of the frequency distribution of each variable studied, namely knowledge, attitudes and behavior of postpartum mothers about newborns care Citra Marindal Maternal Clinic Working Area of Deli Serdang District. The sampling technique used was non probobality sampling with an accidental sampling method of 39 respondents. Based on results of study, it can be concluded that the behavior of postpartum mothers in newborn’s care still behaves less as much as 32 respondents (82.1%) and good behavior as many as 7 respondents (17.9%). It is expected that postpartum mothers will increase their knowledge about infant care, especially newborns, so that by good knowledge will take good attitudes and actions to change mother’s behavior.
