dc.description.abstractAbstract Depression is the most common psychiatric problem in the elderly, those who experience depression due to physical, psychological, and social changes that occur result in feelings of being worthless. This study aims to determine changes in the decline in Elderly Depression Rate by doing brain training exercises in the Pancur Batu Community Health Center Deli Serdang District. This research uses a design that is quasi-experimental in the form of a Only Group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study were all elderly in the Pancur Batu Health Center area in Deli Serdang District with 214 and a sample of 37 respondents who were given Brain Gym 2x a week for 7 days. The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Data Analysis in the study used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis (Paired Sampli T- test).The results of the study showed ther influence of brain gwm training exercises on changes in the level of depression of the elderly in the puskesmas area Pancur Batu Health Center Deli Serdang District in 2019.This study recommenden the need for further research and the use of this exercise as one of the interventions that must be administered by nurses to all the elden_US
