T Social isolation is a situation in which an individual experiences a decline or even completely unable to interact with other people around him. Social isolation is a disruption of interpersonal relationships that occur due to an inflexible personality, thus giving rise to maladaptive behavior and disturbing one's function in relationships. Disorders of social isolation that do not receive further treatment will cause clients to regress, experience a decrease in activity, and lack of attention to appearance and personal hygiene can even continue to become hallucinations that can endanger themselves, others and the environment. One of the nursing actions in patients with impaired social isolation is Group Activity Therapy (TAK) Socialization. This study aims to determine the relationship between giving TAKS sessions 1-3 with the ability of social interaction in clients of social isolation at the RSJ Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ildrem North Sumatra Province. This type of research is quasi experimental by using one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this study is that social isolation patients were taken using purposive sampling technique as many as 37 respondents. Data obtained through observation in patients. Data was tested with a Difference Test of Two Mean Dependents (Paired samples) with a confidence level of 95%. The statistical test results obtained p = 0,000 (p <0.05). This shows that there is a meaningful relationship in the provision of TAKS with the ability of social interaction in social isolation clients. Therefore TAKS can be recommended as one of the specialist therapies in giving nursing care to patients with social isolation.en_US
