GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN SIKAP DAN TINDAKAN MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PENYAKIT HIV/AIDS DI KELURAHAN TEGAL REJO KOTA MEDAN

Abstract

HIV(Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the white blood cells in the body (lymphocytes) which results in decreased human immunity. AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) is an infectious disease that is still a problem in Indonesia and the world. In Indonesia From October to December 2017, the number of people infected with HIV was reported to be 14,640 people. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge of people's attitudes and actions towards HIV / AIDS in Tegal Rejo Village, Medan City. This research method is a descriptive survey. The population in this study were the people in the Tegal Rejo village, Medan City. Sampling was done by sampling quota. The sample in this study were 50 people in the Tegal Rejo Village, Medan City. The results of this study indicate that people's knowledge is good with a score of 371 (74.2%), people's attitudes are good enough with a score of 1,391 (69.55%), community action is good with a score of 422 (84.4%). This study concludes that people's knowledge is on average good, people's attitudes are on average good enough, and people's actions are on average good.
