dc.description.abstractAndaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) is one of the endemic plants from North Sumatra, Indonesia which has high antioxidants. In this study, the effect of andaliman on the histological appearance of rat cervical cancer cells with AgNOR staining was evaluated. In the experiment, rats as a subject were previously benzopyrene-induced with cancer. Subjects used in the experiment were divided into 5 groups; K−: control, K+: rat model of cancer, P1: dose of 100 mg/BW/day, P2: dose of 200 mg/BW/day, and P3: andaliman dose of 400 mg/kg BW/day for 30 days. On the day of 31, surgery was performed on the subjects. Based on the Kruskal Wallis test, a significant difference in the histology of benzopyrene-induced cervical cancer cells by AgNOR staining was achieved p value <0.05 (p 0.000). Andaliman is able to repair cell damage caused by cancer and can be described as a cancer drug in the future.en_US
