Hepatitis B is an inflammation or infection of liver cells caused by a virus that can be acute or chronic. Pregnant women have a high risk of transmitting HBV infection to their unborn babies. One of the ways to screen for HBV disease is by examining HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen). This study is a descriptive study conducted in the form of a systematic review and aims to obtain an overview of Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) in pregnant women as a screening for hepatitis B transmission. The first journal that examined 30 samples, found 1 sample (3.3%) reactive to Hepatitis B virus infection and 29 samples or 96.7% were non-reactive; the second journal which examined 100 samples, found 85 samples were reactive and 15 samples were non-reactive; the third journal examined 218 samples, 22 samples were reactive and 196 samples were non-reactive; the fourth journal which examined 100 samples, found 2 samples were reactive and 98 samples were non-reactive; and the fifth journal, which examined 60 samples, found 7 reactive samples and 53 non-reactive samples.en_US
