Abstract: Worm infection is one of health problems which is transmitted through soil contaminated with earthworms or commonly known as Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH). These worms are often found in vegetables. The habit of consuming vegetables without proper washing may leave parasites still attached to vegetables and enter the human body and cause worm infection. This research is a descriptive study conducted in the form of a systematic review on 5 literatures and aim to identify the contamination of STH worm eggs in kale vegetable (Ipomoea sp.). Results : through the research, it’s found that 13.33% of kale vegetables were positively contaminated with STH eggs (Sobirin, 2020); 6.7% of kale were positively contaminated (Punsawad et al., 2019); 9.5% of the samples were positively contaminated (Hidayati et al., 2017); a number of 77.78% of the samples were positively contaminated (Le Quynh Chau et al., 2014); and around 71.6% of kale vegetable were positively contaminated (Kyi and Zin, 2014). Conclusion : The research concluded that the contamination of Soil transmitted helminths egg in kale (Ipomoea sp.) cegetables in the five journala are varied; 19.17% of the contamination is caused by Ascaris lumbricoides eggs, happened to be the highest contamination, the average contamination of Trichuris trichiura was 10.41%, and the contamination of Strongiloides stercoralis is 6.18%; and the contamination by hookworms were not found.
