The immune responses that play a role in DHF cases are Immunoglobulin M (IgM) and Immunoglobulin G (IgG). In primary Dengue infection, IgM begins to form and is detected on the third to fifth day, whereas in secondary Dengue infection, the existing IgG level will increase and then remain in the human body with low titers for the rest of his life. Thrombocytopenia occurs in DHF patients due to antigen-antibody reactions and activation of the complement system which causes deposition of IgM and IgG immune cells on the surface of platelet cells. This causes reticuloendothelial cells to destroy platelets so that DHF patients will experience thrombocytopenia. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, and aims to determine the analysis of dengue IgG and IgM examination on the results of platelet counts in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients, carried out at the Prof. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital, University of North Sumatra. Examination was carried out through Rapid Test IgG and IgM Dengue, while examination of platelets through a Hematology Analyzer. This study examines 11 samples obtained through total sampling technique. Based on the results of Dengue IgG and IgM examinations in Dengue Fever patients at Prof. dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Hospital. University of North Sumatra found: 10 patients (92%) with IgG + and IgM -, while 1 patient (8%) with IgG - and IgM + ; based on platelet count, 9 patients with decreased platelet count, and 2 patients with normal platelet count. Dengue IgG and IgM are not correlated with platelet count in Dengue Fever patients.en_US
