Asuhan Keperawatan Pada Klien Yang Mengalami Diabetes Mellitus Dengan Gangguan Integritas Kulit Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pandan Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah Tahun 2023

Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR DIABETES MELLITUS CLIENTS WITH DISORDERS OF INTEGRITY SKIN IN PANDAN GENERAL HOSPITAL TAPANULI CENTRAL DISTRICT IN 2023 ABSTRACT Background: Diabetes Mellitus is basically caused by the inability of the pancreas to produce insulin so that the concentration of sugar in the blood vessels increases. Based on the results of the Preliminary Survey conducted by Researchers at Pandan Hospital, it is known that the number of people with Diabetes Mellitus in 2019 was 335 people, and in 2022 there were 109 people. Objective: Implement Nursing Care for Clients with Diabetes Mellitus with Impaired Skin Integrity at Pandan Hospital, Tapanuli Tengah Regency in 2023. Research Method: This research is a descriptive qualitative study with a case study approach method, examining 2 respondents who have Diabetes Mellitus with Impaired Integrity Skin and research locations at Pandan Hospital, Central Tapanuli Regency in 2023. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, physical examination, and documentation studies. Results: Assessment on Client 1: complained of pain in the legs (burns due to exposure to vehicle exhaust), oozed pus mixed with blood, and did not heal. Assessment on Client 2: complained of a wound on the right leg, felt pain, oozed pus, and 2 toes on the right leg were blackened. Conclusion: What was obtained after treating the wound on day 3, the wound on client 1 had dried up, while the wound on client 2 had dried up a bit, but the black color was still visible on the 2 right toes.
