dc.description.abstractInstant powder drink is one of the ready-made beverage products that contains artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweetener that is often used is Na- Cyclamate. The use of large quantities of Na-Cyclamate will cause health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of Na-Cyclamate contained in instant powder drinks by the Alkalimetry and Uv-Vis Spectrophotometry methods based on Literature Studies. This research was used literature study method. This method includes a series of activities such as library data collection, reading, recording, and processing research materials by comparing several literatures. The results showed that with the alkalimetry method, in literature 1 which contained the highest levels of cyclamate was sample A (402.2629 mg / kg), in literature 2 was sample F (4.096 kg / mg). When using the Uv-vis spectrophotometry method, in literature 1 which contained the highest cyclamate was sample E (x tea 4.3777 mg / kg), in literature 2 was sample F (hemaviton Jreng 35,514 mg / kg). The conclusion of this study was 87.50% sample contain Na-Cyclamate artificial sweeteners, including instant powder drinks with well-known brands and many cyclamate sweetener amount still exceeded the amount set by the Head of the Drug and Food Supervisory Agency Regulation No. 4 of 2014 concerning the limit on the use of cyclamate food additives, which its maximum amout was 350 mg / kg.en_US
