Abstract: Arab bidara leaves (Ziziphus spina-christi L.) is one of the plants that can be used as herbal medicine. Arabic bidara leaves contain seanotic acids, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins and proteins. This study aims to determine the concentration of the ethanol extract of bidara arab leaves (Ziziphus spina-christi L.) can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria with an ideal zone of inhibition. The research method used was experimental, with a random sampling technique purposive sampling. The extract was prepared by maceration using 96% ethanol solvent. The antibacterial effect test was carried out by the agar diffusion method using disc paper. The results showed that the average inhibition zone for bacteria Staphylococcus aureus at concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75% ethanol extract of bidara arabic leaves were 13.53 mm, 16.06 mm and 16.84 mm. The average inhibition zone on amoxicillin was 21.07 mm and the average bacterial inhibition zone on aquadest was 0 mm. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract of bidara arabic leaves (Ziziphus spina-christi L.) at concentrations of 50% and 75% were effective in inhibiting bacterial growth of Staphylococcus aureus.
